No. You don’t need to be an Australian citizen but you must have working rights to work in Australia such as a valid working visa.

There are all kinds of roles that can fit your schedule and skills.

Depending on the role and your availability, you could be working Monday to Friday for up to six weeks before election or only working on election day (Saturday).

There are no specific qualifications required.

No. You must not have any official connection with:

  • any political party;
  • any election or campaign committee; or
  • any person who has nominated as a candidate for an election in a district, or respect of which, you will be carrying out your duties, and you must immediately notify the Electoral Commissioner if such a connection arises.

We will start recruitment and contacting applicants in mid-December onwards.

This will depend of the role you are doing. Due to the nature of the event, the WAEC will require some flexibility around working hours.

PERSOLKELLY encourages all staff working in remote locations to be vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza.

PERSOLKELLY encourages all staff working in aged care and hospitals to follow the recommend guidelines for each facility. This may include a RAT test prior to entry.

For some of the roles you will be required to travel (such as Remote Presiding and Issuing officer). For all other roles you will only be required to travel to the location your assignment is in.

Yes, some of our more senior roles require National police clearance.

These roles are not positioned in one Polling Place. You will need to select a Polling Place Location in the application process as this is a mandatory field. However, you will be required to travel within the district to complete the duties of this role.
